Traffic Maintenance

 

The Traffic Maintenance Section is responsible for all traffic maintenance issues in Mobile County. Traffic Engineering projects involve design, installation, and modification of traffic control devices including traffic signals, signs, and pavement markings & legends. Traffic Engineers are also involved with traffic safety by investigating locations with high crash rates and developing countermeasures to reduce the number and severity of crashes. 

Traffic Maintenance Section is responsible for maintaining traffic control devices to include signals, signs, pavement markings, and delineators. With assistance from both the Engineering and Public Works Department, Traffic Maintenance provides service for the unincorporated areas of the County.
