Pet Adoptions

When you adopt a pet from the Mobile County Animal Shelter you are making a lifelong friend as well as giving an animal a new start in life.  We have a variety of mixed breed and sometimes purebred dogs, puppies, cats and kittens for adoption.

Before you adopt:

Adoption Fees

Adoption fees help offset the costs of caring and rehoming these animals, covering just 32 percent of the total.  Fees are continuously adjusted depending on available sponsorship, grants, and economic inflation.

Unaltered Animals: 

Set Fees for dogs/puppies under this classification includes spay/neuter, rabies shot, 5-in-1 vaccination, wormer, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm testing (age 6 months and older) and microchipping.

Set fees for cats/kittens under this classification includes spay/neuter, rabies shot, 4-in-1 vaccination, wormer, and microchip.

Altered Animals: 

Set fees for dogs/puppies under this classification includes rabies shot, 5-in-1 vaccination, wormer, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm testing (age 6 months and older), and microchipping.

Set fees for cats/kittens under this classification includes rabies shot, 4-in-1 vaccination, wormer and microchipping

Monday - Friday: 10:00am to 4:00pm
Saturdays: 10:00am to 2:00pm
