Gulfcrest Road Closed to Through Traffic for Bridge Repair Beginning July 28

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. – Gulfcrest Road will be temporarily closed to through traffic for bridge repair about 1.25 miles west of U.S. Highway 45 beginning Monday, July 28, 2025.

 

This temporary closure is expected to last approximately one month; however, all construction projects are weather-dependent.

Detour signs will be in place before the closure. The main detour route for Gulfcrest Road is U.S. Highway 45, Sand Ridge Road, and Gulfcrest Road away from the bridge closure point.

This temporary closure is in Mobile County Commission District 1.

This is a Mobile County and Rebuild Alabama bridge repair project.
