Gulf Coast Pet Adoption Festival at Mobile County Animal Shelter on March 22

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. -- Mobile County Animal Shelter is the beneficiary of the 2025 Gulf Coast Pet Adoption Festival on Saturday, March 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. featuring

  • No fees for the first 20 adoptions thanks to event sponsors
  • Dog costume contest beginning at noon (prizes for winners; CLICK to register)
  • Bakery items for people and pets
  • Sponsor booths, music, activities, and fun

Event sponsors (Rich’s Car Wash, Cumulus Broadcasting, and others) pick one shelter to feature annually. Their goal is to get every adoptable pet into its forever home. The event is free to attend. 

 

There are about 40 pets at Mobile County Animal Shelter ready for adoption (see them at https://www.mobilecountyal.gov/animal-shelter/dogs-for-adoption/)

  • More than half are puppies
  • No cats at this time

Mobile County Animal Shelter is located at 7665 Howells Ferry Road, Mobile AL 36618.

 

All Mobile County Animal Shelter adoptions include microchip, spay/neuter, flea and deworming treatments, rabies and other vaccinations, as well as heartworm testing for dogs over 6 months old.
