Free Photo Voter IDs Available from the Mobile County Board of Registrars

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. --  A free Photo Voter ID is available during the  Mobile County Board of Registrars Office's business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Since 2014, Alabama law requires voters to have a photo voter ID.  

 

If an Alabama-registered voter does not have a valid photo ID, such as a driver’s license, state-issued nondriver ID card, passport, or another approved form listed here, he/she may use a photo voter ID obtained through the Mobile County Board of Registrars to vote today.

 

Registered voters can get a free Alabama Photo Voter ID card, by

  • Completing the application (to download click here) and bringing it to the Mobile County Board of Registrars office during business hours.
  • Meeting the following requirements:
    • Provide a photo ID document or a non-photo identity document can be used if it contains your full legal name and date of birth
    • Must be a registered voter in Alabama
    • Must not have any valid form of photo ID accepted at the polls

This service is available during business hours year-round.
