Urgent Plea! Mobile County Animal Shelter Over Capacity

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. -- 

Urgent plea!  Help move adoptable dogs and puppies from the shelter to their forever homes or into Mobile County Animal Shelter’s foster program.

For the next two weeks (July 29 through Aug. 12), adoption fees for animals over one year old will be fully sponsored by District 2, Commission President Connie Hudson’s office.

 

Mobile County Animal Shelter has 300 animals in its care. Please help make room at Mobile County Animal Shelter by encouraging public adoptions or fostering.

 

Adoption hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays at Mobile County Animal Shelter (7665 Howells Ferry Road ? Mobile, AL 36618). 

 

Adoption fees are $40 for adult dogs or $80 for puppies; discounts and sponsorships may apply.

 

Mobile County Animal Shelter adoptions include microchip, spay/neuter, flea and deworming treatments, rabies, and other vaccinations, as well as heartworm testing for dogs over 6 months old. Many of these adoptable adult dogs and puppies have already been spayed or neutered and can go to their forever homes today.
