Santa?s Coming Early to the Mobile County Animal Shelter

Posted on: Dec 7th, 2010 | Announcements

Santa and a new puppy is the perfect Christmas gift for any child. Kids, both young and old, can have it all at a special adoption event from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., on Saturday, December 18, at the Mobile County Animal Shelter, located at 7665 Howells Ferry Road. They can get their pictures taken with Santa from noon until 2 p.m., and make their wishes for any of the more than 60 homeless animals looking for a caring home for the holidays. There will be a large selection of kittens, cats and puppies and dogs available for adoption. Admission to the event is free, and refreshments will be provided. All animals will be vaccinated with first shots, and fees for adoption ranges between $10 and $25. Also, Dr. Jared Mitchell will conduct a rabies clinic and provide 3-year vaccinations for $15 per pet, between the hours of 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Animals can be viewed at www.mobilecountyanimals.com. For more information about the Christmas adoption event, call 574-3230.
