Road Closure Update

UPDATE Mobile County Road Advisory: Contact: Nancy Johnson June 11, 2012 noon Mobile County Public Works officials have added Oyler Road to a list of closures below: Oyler Road between Jeff Hamilton and McCloud roads. Old Pascagoula Road between McDonald Road and March Road. Scott Dairy Loop between Scott Dairy Loop West and McFarland Road Three Notch Road between Mcdonald and Schillinger roads. Partial Road closures include the following: Leroy Stevens Road between the West Mobile County Park entrance and Cottage Hill Road ? northbound lane is closed and southbound lane will be closed intermittently. Officials advise motorists to take alternative routes, although workers will attempt to keep one lane of traffic on the roadway moving. Grand Bay Wilmer Road South between Ballard and Breitling roads - southbound lane will be closed. Officials will attempt to keep one lane open to traffic, but it may become necessary to close all the lanes intermittently. Motorists are advised to take an alternative route. County Public Works officials said that additional road closures may become necessary because of saturated grounds that could become unstable as runoff increases.
