Pavement Collapse Forces Emergency Road Closure

Mobile County has closed the Irvington Bayou La Batre Highway between Three Mile Road and Four Mile Road because a segment of one lane of roadway has collapsed. County road workers are at the scene investigating the cause and believe it may be the related to the flooding that occurred in late April. Motorists are asked to exercise caution in the area and to use alternative routes. Detour signs will be posted. ###
