MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. – Old Spanish Trail just west of Carol Plantation Road in west Mobile County will be closed to through traffic beginning Wednesday, Oct. 23, to replace a cross-drain pipe under the roadway.

All lanes on Carol Plantation Road will remain open.

This closure is expected to last approximately three weeks; however, all construction projects are weather-dependent.

Detour signs will be in place before the closure. The detour route is south on Carol Plantation Road, going west on Theodore Dawes Road, then north on Old Spanish Trail. When the road is closed, its detour should appear on online traffic navigation services like Waze as well.

This temporary closure is in Mobile County Commission District 3.
