Mobile County Road Update: Oct. 8 @10:30am

The Mobile County Public Works assessment team has examined damage to one bridge on Shell Belt Rd. and two bridges on Coden Belt Rd. Damage to all three bridges includes washed out asphalt approaches and displaced riprap, some of which is now on the roadways. An engineering survey to check the bridges for structural safety will be carried out this week. Both roads will remain closed until all repairs are made. The City of Dauphin Island reports sand across Bienville Blvd. The sand stretches 3 miles and is 6 feet deep. No further updates at this time.
