19th Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday July 19 through 21

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. – Mobile County is participating in Alabama’s 19th Annual Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday weekend from 12:01 a.m. Friday, July 19 through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2024.

Back-to-school Sales Tax Holiday Weekend is the perfect time for families to stock up on school supplies, uniforms and other necessities. Eligible items include:

  • certain types of clothing at $100 or less per item
  • computers, software or computer supplies at $750 or less per purchase
  • certain school supplies at $50 or less per item
  • certain types of books at $30 or less per item

According to the Alabama Department of Revenue or the mayors' offices, all 11 of Mobile County’s municipalities are also participating in the 2024 Back-to-school Sales Tax Holiday weekend: Bayou La Batre, Chickasaw, Citronelle, Creola, Dauphin Island, Mobile, Mount Vernon, Saraland, Satsuma, and Semmes.
