Mobile County Gets International Risk Management Award

Joseph M. Stewart, Mobile County Commission Risk Management Coordinator, recently was named International Risk Management Professional of the Year at the Annual Conference of NAIW (International) ? Association of Insurance Professionals. The purpose of the award is to recognize excellence in a risk management professional who has demonstrated superior knowledge of the risk management field, experienced professional advancement through education, leadership in the field, and is an active participant in NAIW activities. Criteria for the award are: NAIW involvement, continuing education, industry involvement, community involvement and an essay on an industry topic. Stewart competed on the national level with the regional winners representing seven other regions of NAIW (International). The NAIW (International) is an association of insurance professionals dedicated to the development of leaders in the insurance & risk management. Members belong to approximately 350 local associations across the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Australia, Africa, Kuwait, Bermuda, India & Mongolia.
