Jerry Carl Named New County Commission President

Today, Mobile County Commissioner Jerry Carl rotated to the presidency of the Mobile County Commission. The positon is a leadership role that rotates every 16 months. He will chair meetings of the commission as well as serve as chief elected official of the county during a declared emergency or disaster in the county. Carl replaces District 2 Commissioner Connie Hudson in the role of president. At the same time, District 1 Commissioner Merceria Ludgood rotates into the position of Commission Vice President.
