Government Plaza To Close East and West Doors

Posted on: Feb 12th, 2016 | Press Releases

Public entrance to Government Plaza will be limited to the Government Street doors next week, from Feb. 15 through 19, while clean-up continues on the outside glass panels on the east and west sides of the building. Crews will be disassembling equipment on the east side, between Government Plaza and its annex building next door, for the duration of next week. The following Monday, Feb. 22, the east-side doors will reopen. The west side doors on Joachim Street will remain closed, starting Monday, Feb. 15, for approximately three weeks as the glass panels are washed. There may be some disruption to traffic flow on Monday as equipment is set up for the project. Motorists are asked to exercise caution in the area. The project is part of a $1 million maintenance and upgrade project for the 21-year-old facility that houses city and county government and the county courts.
