Former Gov. Bob Riley to Speak at Bicentennial Leadership Luncheon

Former Governor Bob Riley will be the keynote speaker at next week?s Mobile County Leadership Gala honoring county businesses and civic leaders as part of the county?s 200th birthday celebration. The event is set for 11:30 a.m. Thursday, November 15 at the Mobile Marriott, 3101 Airport Blvd. ?This is a terrific opportunity to highlight the leadership from all over the county that continues to lead us forward,? said Maura Garino, chairwoman of the Hospitality Committee of the Mobile County Bicentennial Commission. The Mobile County Bicentennial Commission, a 501-C-3 organization, is sponsoring the event. The honorees at Thursday?s luncheon have distinguished themselves in at least one of six categories of business, education, community service, the military, arts or sports. The honorees are: Harold Austin, Citronelle; Sports Ellen Lesley, Saraland; Community Linda Robbins, Satsuma; Education Alice S. Rutland, Mt. Vernon; Community Judy Hale, Semmes; Community Capt. Don Rose, Mobile; Military Latrenda Torrence-Salter, Mobile; Education Paul Sousa, Mobile; Education Kaye Brown, Mobile; Education Marlon Firle, Mobile; Education John Tyson Sr., Mobile; Community Mary Zoghby, Mobile.
