Emergency Meeting Set For January 13, 2016

The President of the Mobile County Commission has called an emergency meeting of the Commission for Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. in the Auditorium at Mobile Government Plaza. The purpose of the meeting will be to consider adoption of a resolution declaring an emergency affecting the public health, safety or convenience resulting from a fire on January 13, 2016 at the Strickland Youth Center, and authorizing entry into contracts for services and equipment necessary to meet the emergency and repair the facility to good working order, without public advertisement. An agenda for the meeting is set out below: AGENDA EMERGENCY MEETING OF THE MOBILE COUNTY COMMISSION January 13, 2016 11:30 a.m. 1) Consider resolution declaring an emergency affecting public health, safety or convenience, as a consequence of a fire at Strickland Youth Center on January 13, 2016, which would result from a delay in the procurement of equipment and services necessary to meet the emergency and repair the facility to good working order, and the procurement of laundry services. 2) Authorize letting one or more contracts for the procurement of equipment and services necessary to meet the emergency and repair the facility to good working order, and the procurement of laundry services, without public advertisement. 3) Consider motion to adjourn until January 25, 2016.
