More than two dozen dogs will be looking for rescue at a Mobile County Pet Adoption and cookout set for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 16 at the new Mobile County Animal Shelter, 7665 Howells Ferry Road. A rabies clinic will be provided on site at the same time. The shelter is offering for adoption two dozen dogs and five cats, all of them either spayed or neutered. New pet families can enjoy grilled hamburgers and hot dogs at the shelter at the same time.
