County Animal Shelter Extends Hours for Adoptions

Posted on: Sep 10th, 2009 | Announcements

The Mobile County Animal Shelter will be open extended hours beginning this Saturday, September 12, as a means to promote animal adoptions. The shelter, which had operated only during normal work hours on weekdays, will now be open from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. every Saturday. The Saturday hours are only for adoptions. The shelter also will be open from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays for adoptions only. The new hours have been established to make it easier for working people to visit the shelter and adopt the abandoned dogs and cats at the facility. Photos of animals available for adoption through the county may be viewed at www.mobilecountyanimals.com. ###
