Connie Hudson Named New County Commission President

Mobile County Commissioner Connie Hudson this week rotated to the presidency of the Mobile County Commission, a leadership position that rotates every 16 months. Hudson, who was elected to the District 2 office in August of last year, will chair meetings of the commission as well as serving as chief elected official of the county during a declared emergency or disaster in the county. ?I am honored to serve the public in this position and will continue every effort to assure efficiency and transparency in county government,? she said. Hudson replaces District 1 Commissioner Merceria Ludgood in the role of president. At the same time, District 3 Commissioner Mike Dean rotates into the position of Commission vice president.
