MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. – Chickasabogue Park has begun accepting reservations for its newly renovated RV campground, which will welcome its first campers Labor Day weekend.

Chickasabogue Park RV campground reservations may be made in advance at  https://app.fireflyreservations.com/reserve/property/ChickasaboguePark1

The RV campground has been completely renovated and includes a new restroom/shower/laundry facility. Chickasabogue Park’s campground area will accept RVs (25 pads), hard-sided pop-up campers (12 sites), and tent camping (9 sites) in designated areas.

“We’re delighted to expand access to one of Mobile County’s greatest natural treasures with this new RV campground,” said District 1 Commissioner Merceria Ludgood. “We encourage everyone to come experience Chickasabogue Park, whether for day-use or camping, and discover why it’s one of Mobile County’s greatest assets."

Chickasabogue Park, located at 760 Aldock Road in Eight Mile, is less than 15 minutes from downtown Mobile. It is Mobile County’s largest park, spanning 1,100 acres of recreation space and wildlife refuge.

Chickasabogue Park offers 13 miles of biking/hiking trails, two 18-hole disc golf courses, multi-use courts, picnic pavilions, a playground, a splashpad, and a beach on Chickasabogue Creek, which connects to Mobile Bay. The park reopened on February 23, 2025, after major GOMESA-funded renovations that added new family amenities, expanded parking, upgraded trails and disc golf courses, and modernized infrastructure with water and sewer systems, a lift station, and fire protection features. Upcoming improvements include RESTORE Act-funded beach area renovations and construction of a new boat ramp. Long-term plans include an events and interpretive center.
