MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. -- Cedar Point Pier will be temporarily closed to the public due to anticipated icy conditions, followed by the completion of final construction work.

The pier will close beginning at 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, through Sunday, Feb. 1, due to expected icy weather conditions.

It will remain closed Monday, Feb. 2, through Friday, Feb. 6, as contractors complete remaining project work, including installation of a large shade canopy, lighting, fencing, signage, sodding, and parking lot improvements.

The Feb. 2–6 construction closure will conclude the accessibility and resiliency improvement project, which required the pier to be closed for several months in 2025.
