MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. – The new Cedar Point Boat Launch contractor will begin its work on Monday, June 29, and the east side of Highway 193, across from Cedar Point Pier, will be a construction site for approximately one year.

Cedar Point Pier will be open during construction; however, Pier guests must park only in the Cedar Point Pier parking lot at 18250 Dauphin Island Parkway in Coden and remain on the west side of Highway 193. There will be no parking on the east side of Highway 193. Public access to the construction site will be prohibited.

Motorists are urged to use caution in the area as Cedar Point Pier is a popular destination, and this construction is in addition to ALDOT’s nearby work on the Dauphin Island bridge.

Cedar Point Boat Launch is funded by a state GOMESA grant awarded by Gov. Kay Ivey.
