75 Dogs Need A Home, Find A Pet Connection

Posted on: Jun 18th, 2009 | Announcements

What?s cute, cuddly and would make a wonderful addition to any family? It?s a pet from the Mobile County Animal Shelter, where about 75 dogs and 50 cats are available for adoption. The new shelter, located at 7665 Howells Ferry Road, will hold a pet adoption from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., on Saturday, June 20. ?This is a wonderful opportunity to find a new best friend,? said Carmelo Miranda, County Humane Officer. ?By adopting a shelter pet, you?re not only saving a life, but you?re adding enjoyment to your own life.? For a fee of $25 for dog/puppy or $10 cat/kitten, the adopted pet will be spayed or neutered and given its first shots. Also, Dr. Christopher Boudreau of Small Animal Clinic will conduct a rabies clinic for only $8 per pet, between the hours of 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on that day. For more information, call the Mobile County Animal Shelter at (251) 574-3230.
