2019 Severe Weather Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday in Mobile County

The state of Alabama has scheduled its annual state sales and use tax holiday to assist residents in preparing for any type of severe weather situation. Beginning at 12:01 a.m., on Friday, February 22, and ending at midnight on Sunday, February 24, the purchase of batteries, ice packs, duct tape, plywood, and any other weather preparedness item $60 or less is exempt from state sales tax; including all portable generators and power cords under $1,000 each.
