Mobile Opera is presenting Puccini's Le Villi on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, at 7:30 p.m., at Murphy High School. Roberto and Anna celebrate their engagement before Roberto leaves on a journey to arrange legal matters. Anna’s premonition that he won’t return becomes true as Roberto is seduced by a siren and has thoughts of a happy life with Anna fade from his mind. Anna dies of a broken heart and her father, Guglielmo, mourns. The prodigal Roberto returns but it is too late. Anna's spirit appears and summons others who draw Roberto to his doom.
