'1776: THE MUSICAL' (Multiple Performances)

Jan 15th, 2026 - Jan 25th, 2026 ·

Celebrate the Semiquincentennial with the musical "1776," to be performed from Thursday, Jan. 15, to Sunday, Jan. 25, with shows on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. at the Chickasaw Civic Theatre. January marks the start of America’s 250th year, and CCT will honor the occasion with the story of the country's founding fathers, directed by Nedra Bloom. In this show, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, John Hancock, Benjamin Franklin and others struggle to create a new government for the infant United States during a sweltering July in Philadelphia. The music is rousing and the story funny, moving and inspirational. Ticket prices range from $15 to $18 including fees.
