Take a behind-the-scenes look at World War II on Thursday, April 30, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the History Museum of Mobile. Visitors will see uniforms, paintings, photos, documents, weapons, tools and more from not just the combat overseas, but from the homefront in Mobile as well. During this informative and fascinating tour, curators will discuss the particular environmental, handling, and housing factors needed to prevent damage and ensure the preservation of the objects they collect, safeguard and interpret for present and future generations of citizens. These special one-hour tours are free for members, $20 for ages 18 and up and $15 for ages 8 to 17.
