UNITED WE PREPARE: DISASTER RESILIENCY FORUM FEATURING JAMES SPANN

Join United Way of Southwest Alabama and Verizon for the 2026 Disaster Resilience Forum featuring renowned meteorologist James Spann on Saturday, Aug. 15, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the National Maritime Museum of the Gulf. Spann will share insights on severe weather threats facing the Gulf Coast, disaster preparedness, and the steps families and communities can take to stay safe before, during, and after a storm. The forum is open to the public and welcomes residents, community leaders, volunteers, and anyone interested in strengthening disaster readiness across Southwest Alabama.
