MOONPIE OVER MOBILE NEW YEAR'S EVE CELEBRATION

Dec 31st, 2025 - Jan 1st, 2026 · 11:00 AM-12:30 AM

Ring in the new year with a giant electronic MoonPie drop on Wednesday, Dec. 31, starting at 11 a.m. in downtown Mobile. This FREE event, in its 18th year, will include a performance by Morris Day and the Time and opening act Red and the Revelers. The festivities begin with a Kids Zone from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with family-friendly fun in Mardi Gras Park and a noon MoonPie Drop for the kids. In the evening, there will be a Best Decorated Umbrella Contest at 7:30 p.m., the cutting of the world’s largest edible MoonPie at 7:45 p.m. and a second line parade at 8:10 p.m. led by the Port City Secondliners and the Jukebox Brass Band to the main stage to kick off the evening’s live music. Moments before midnight, the count down to the new year will begin as the street party peaks with the ceremonial dropping of the world’s largest electronic MoonPie as the clock strikes 2026. The 12-foot-tall MoonPie will descend from the 34-story RSA Trustmark building to welcome in the new year and the beginning of Mobile’s Mardi Gras season. For more details and additional sponsorship opportunities, visit www.MoonPieOverMobile.com.
