COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: Help pack 60,000 shelf-stable meals for people experiencing food insecurity during a large-scale meal-packing event on Friday, March 27, from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. The meals will be packaged on site by volunteers and shipped through an established hunger-relief organization for distribution in a developing country.
The event will take place at St. Ignatius Parish facilities, but participation is open to everyone, no affiliation required. Many volunteers are needed to complete this effort in one evening, and every participant plays a direct role in turning donated ingredients into meals for families in need.
