MOBILE JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL: "FAREWELL MR. HAFFMANN"

Join the Mobile Jewish Federation for the 2023 Celebration of Jewish Arts Festival where they will embark on a Jewish journey through film, theater, and music.

In Farewell Mr. Haffman, learn more about the story of occupied Paris in 1941 when all members of the Jewish community were instructed to come forward and identify themselves to authorities. Dedicated jeweler Joseph Haffmann (Daniel Auteuil), fearing the worst, arranges for his family to flee the city and offers his employee François Mercier (Gilles Lellouche) the chance to take over his store until the conflict subsides. The film will be shown Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023, at 12 a.m. CST (Virtual) and Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023, 2 p.m. at Springhill Avenue Temple, 1769 SpringHill Ave, Mobile, AL 36607. Tickets are $9 per film and $55 for an event pass and will be available on Dec.18, 2022 at https://www.goelevent.com/MobileJewishFilmFestival/e/FarewellMrHaffman.
