Justin Rudder, digital asset archivist at the Alabama Department of Archives and History, will be the guest speaker at the FREE Learning Lunch program on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at noon at The History Museum of Mobile. The title of his presentation is "Mapping the Black Town: Perspectives on the Evolution of African American Communities." Rudder is the owner of the Digital Grassroots cultural heritage initiative, developing media for groups including the Shuttlesworth-Bester Centennial Corp. and Mobile African American Genealogical Historical Society. The research gathered in mapping Black communities in Mobile County will be included in his manuscript "Black Towns of Alabama: Southern Alabama."
