AFRICATOWN HERITAGE HOUSE TO HOST CULTURE FEST

Culture Fest 2026 will take place Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Africatown Heritage House, Mobile County Training School and Robert Hope Community Center. A related Heritage Lecture Series featuring Tori Adams will begin at 11 a.m. at Africatown Heritage House.

This FREE event celebrates Black culture, African American history and the legacy of Africatown through music, storytelling, art, family activities and community experiences. Activities will include African drumming, choir performances, African folktales, vendors, food trucks, children’s activities, face painting, African crafts, interactive games, a live community artwork project, FREE cool pops and FREE school supplies for students. Admission to Culture Fest 2026 and Clotilda: The Exhibition is FREE, and all ages are welcome.
