2026 DAUPHIN ISLAND NATIVE AMERICAN EXPERIENCE

The Dauphin Island Heritage and Arts Council will host its annual Native American Experience event on Saturday, March 28, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Historic Fort Gaines on Dauphin Island. The event will include interactive stickball demonstrations, hands-on pottery making and beadwork, Native American dancing and drumming, live canoe carving by Seminole tribal members, cultural exhibits and artisan crafts available for purchase. Admission is $15 for ages 13 and up, $10 for ages 5 to 12 and FREE for children 4 and under. Ticket includes access to multiple screenings of the Emmy Award-winning documentary "The Forgotten Creeks," along with a self-guided tour of Historic Fort Gaines and the immersive Native American Experience.
