DAUPHIN ISLAND KITE FEST

Kite Fest will be held on Saturday, March 14, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Dauphin Island's East End Beach. Awards and prizes will be given to the highest flying kite, biggest kite, most unique kits, best homemade kite and a special Mayor’s Choice award at this FREE event. At 11 a.m., Emerald Coast Kite Flyers Club and Mississippi/Gulf Coast Quad Line Flyers will be filling the sky with unique and acrobatic kites. The Miss Dauphin Island Young Ladies will be on site to help guests tye-dye their own T-shirt ($20 minimum donation).
