City of Mobile: Parks and Recreation is hosting its annual FREE Breast Cancer Awareness Event on Friday, Oct. 24, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Thomas Sullivan Community Center. Participants are invited to wear pink as they celebrate survivors, honor those currently in treatment and acknowledge those who have been lost to this deadly disease. Enjoy games, giveaways, light refreshments, fellowship and a special all-pink bingo, as well as an inspiring message from keynote speaker Sonya Starks from the Mitchell Cancer Institute.
