Catch a non-silent film from the Golden Age of Hollywood every Tuesday in January, starting Tuesday, Jan. 6, at 6 p.m. at the Cresent Theater. Happy hour prices will be offered on drinks and snacks. The first film, Alfred Hitchcock’s "The Lady Vanishes," is a sparkling blend of mystery, suspense and sly British wit. When a kindly elderly woman disappears without a trace aboard a speeding train, a sharp-witted young traveler refuses to accept that the woman ever existed — especially when everyone else insists she’s imagining things. As secrets unravel and danger mounts, Hitchcock turns a simple train ride into a thrilling puzzle packed with twists, romance and darkly comic charm. Tickets are $10 at the door.
Other Tuesday Talkies in January include:
Tuesday, Jan. 13: "Bringing Up Baby"
Tuesday, Jan. 20: "The Stranger"
Tuesday, Jan. 27: "A Star is Born" (1937)
