STEP: SUMMER YOUTH INTERNSHIPS PROGRAM OF MOBILE COUNTY

Research shows that students need employment opportunities as they seek to understand career opportunities. Here is a great opportunity for local youth. Enrollment is now open through April 22, 2022, for STEP, a six-week Summer Youth Employment Internship Program designed to address the need for more summer employment opportunities for young adults, ages 17.5 to 24 years old, in the local community. Students must be 17.5 by December 1, 2021, and a graduating high school senior, or enrolled in college.

The interns will engage in virtual job readiness training at the University of South Alabama. The training modules include customer service, telephone etiquette, business etiquette, business writing, Microsoft Office, conflict management, time management and business math.
