Jan 17th, 2026 - Jan 18th, 2026 · 7:30 PM-2:30 PM
Dynamic violinist Melissa White, known to Mobile Symphony Orchestra audiences for her memorable appearances on MSO's stage with the Harlem Quartet, will perform a concerto by American composer Florence Price on Saturday, Jan. 17, at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, Jan. 18, at 2:30 p.m. at the Saenger Theatre. The performance concludes with Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 1 “Winter Dreams.” With the help of the radiant White, Conductor Scott Speck and the MSO explore and celebrate the connection between two composers, Price and Tchaikovsky, whose music is filled with emotion and depth. The evening will begin with a barn-burner of an overture by Verdi — dramatic, powerful and unforgettable. Tickets start at $29 and up.
