JIMMY BUFFETT SON OF A SON OF A SAILOR EXPERIENCE

The Jimmy Buffett Son of a Son of a Sailor Experience, a permanent living tribute to Buffett's life and music, opens on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the National Maritime Museum of the Gulf. The exhibit will celebrate Buffett not only as a performer but as a poet, entrepreneur, adventurer and cultural architect who was born in Pascagoula, Mississippi, and reared in Mobile. The 6,000-square-foot exhibit will include never-before-seen footage and photos, interviews and phone audio; an immersive concert experience in an intimate concert setting and rare footage; and a waterfront statue by nationally known sculptor Ben Victor.
