"The King and Queen of Foggy Flats," the 2025 winner of the Chickasaw Writers Project, will be performed from Thursday, June 25, to Saturday, June 27, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 28, at 2:30 p.m. at Chickasaw Civic Theatre Set in small-town Indiana in 1890, the play tells the story of newcomers who bring their high-falutin’ ways to a small country town. At first they are met with distrust, but the way they care for their neighbors — including teaching the boy next door to fence — gradually wins friendship and, eventually, admiration. But who are these mysterious new neighbors? It’s funny, touching and thoroughly unexpected. Tickets are $18 for adults and $15 for seniors, active military personnel and students.
