SURREALIST NIGHT AT MMOFA

Be creative and unlock your power of imagination at Surrealist Night, on Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Mobile Museum of Art. Inspired by the collection exhibition, Decades: Looking Back/Moving Forward (1940 – 1959), there will be various themed activities for guests, including a large collaborative drawing called the Exquisite Corpse. There will also be a screening of the short Surrealist film, “Meshes of the Afternoon,” made in 1943 by Maya Deren. Throughout the evening, hired musicians will improvise a score to the film live in the East Gallery. Tickets are $5 for members and $10 for non-members.
