The Cookery Project's six-week series of summer cooking camps based on cuisines from around the world focuses on England and Jamaica from Monday, Aug. 3, through Thursday, Aug. 6, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Dumas Wesley Community Center. The Cookery Project is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to instilling nutrition education and life skills training to economically disadvantaged children and adolescents as well as youth with disabilities in South Alabama. Each camp is $195 and includes two servings of each dish (one to enjoy at camp and one to take home to share); instruction on kitchen safety, cooking tools and methods; and games for children ages 5 and up.
