Join Steve Mussell and a team of professional float builders, bringing more than 100 years of combined expertise in float construction, prop-making and Mardi Gras artistry, at this exclusive workshop for art educators on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mobile Arts Council's Gallery @Room 1927. Only 20 spots are available for teachers to become recognized as certified float prop instructors. Participants will learn hands-on techniques directly from four expert instructors, receive a full curriculum to bring back to their classrooms, take home a ready-to-paint MoonPie prop sculpture and enjoy a provided lunch and collaborative learning environment.
