MOST PURE HEART OF MARY FALL GUMBO FESTIVAL

Enjoy food, fun, games fellowship and live entertainment at the annual Fall Gumbo Festival on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Admission is FREE, but concession tickets will be sold for the famous gumbo, fried chicken, Myrtle's Sweet Shop and Cleo's Pickles. Perfect Image live band and DJ Herb McCaskey will perform. Founded in 1899, Most Pure Heart of Mary is a historic Mobile parish that played an important role in the founding of the Knights of Peter Claver in 1909 and served as a cornerstone for Black Catholics and civil rights history in Alabama.
