MOBILE VETERANS DAY PARADE

Mobile's Veterans Day Parade kicks off from the Civic Center at 10 a.m. on Nov. 11 and will roll through the street of downtown Mobile. 

The parade will start at the Mobile Civic Center and travel along Canal St., Broad St. and return to the Center by way of Government St.

Participants include:

  • The University of South Alabama Marching Band
  • Local government officials
  • Patriot of the Year
  • Veteran of the Year
  • Civic, fraternal and veterans organizations
  • Area high school marching bands
  • Over 1,000 JROTC cadets
  • Members of the 2216th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade
  • Members of the Alabama National Guard

  • Flag raising ceremony at the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park, 7 a.m.
  • Honors luncheon: Veteran of the Year Lieutenant Colonel Robert F. Barrow, U.S. Army, Retired and Patriot of the Year Lieutenant General Willie J. Williams U.S. Marine Corps, Retired) at Fort Whiting, noon.
  • Parade of Flags celebration at USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park, 3 p.m.
  • Veterans Day Concert at USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park, 6 p.m.
