Mobile County Commemorates Juneteenth

Join the Mobile County Commission for a special Juneteenth commemoration honoring the significance of June 19, 1865, and reflecting on what life was like in Mobile during this pivotal moment in history.
The event includes a historical presentation, community reflection and a conversation with acclaimed Mobile artist Charles Smith. Guests can also view a special exhibit highlighting Smith’s artwork and public installations across Mobile and beyond.
Free and open to the public.

• Juneteenth program: 11 a.m.

• Remembrance gifts for the first 50 attendees.
