Louise Nevelson: Dawn to Dusk opens Thursday, Jan. 29, and will continue until Friday, July 31, every Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Mobile Museum of Art. Spanning her career from 1929 to 1985, the exhibition traces the groundbreaking artist’s formative years to her emergence as a sculptor of international renown through works selected from the Farnsworth Art Museum collection. It includes a selection of early paintings and figurative sculptures in terracotta, cast stone, and bronze; later painted wood sculptures, reliefs and collages; and examples of her unique, handcrafted jewelry. Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $8 for military and students. Admission is FREE for children under 6 and residents of Mobile County on Thursdays.
