Experience the 18th century at Colonial Fort Condé as history is brought to life through the demonstration of everyday activities of Mobile’s past at the FREE Living History Festival on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Fort Condé. How did they do their laundry? Did they really use a feather to write with? What money did they use? Did they bathe? Find out answers to these questions and many more. In addition to stations teaching about daily life, there will also be musket and swordfighting demonstrations every hour, as well as the local chapter of the Society of American Period Furniture Makers. In the event of inclement weather, activities will be moved indoors. For more information, go to www.facebook.com/events/1361062135357882.
